The Official Tooth Fairy Kit

I know this one little girl who knew exactly what to do with a tooth when you loose it: put it on display. After that she put it under her pillow and it was gone overnight! So, what if she feels a bit nostalgic one day over this lost tooth? The solution is now here parents. Just visit The Office Of the Tooth Fairy to get this.......

The Kit Details: "The Official Tooth Fairy Kit contains one letterpress Certificateof Record for filing with your local Tooth Fairy and one reusable silkscreened cloth deposit bag for your first and all subsequent transactions. The official certificate keeps record of name, age, tooth lost, method of extraction and compensation information." - OOTTF

Official Filing Instructions: "Simply place tooth in the attached envelope and insert your completed certificate in the deposit bag. Place the full bag under your pillow. The tooth fairy will collect the Certificate of Record and place your compensation in the deposit bag. " OOTTF

I think that we should use this deposit bag for our Senior Citizens as well so they can earn their keep when Social Security runs out.

Tribute to Sheffield

[???- January 28, 2009]

Sheffield came from nowhere. He was homeless for the first year of his life but after being outnumbered by a pack of unruly dogs and spending some time in rehabilitation he found himself awaiting adoption at a local orphanage. When a year passed before being ruled "unfit" for adoption, finding himself facing the end, he was taken in by a sympathetic young woman who made the last two years of his life in a Tom Cat haven. He spent his summers dominating the neighborhood cats, trespassing, mooching food, getting dive-bombed by mother birds, and causing other unknown, unreported disturbances. He occupied himself during the winter months by sleeping in confined spaces, corrupting his peers, and picking on his housemates. He was known as a general "pain in the ass" who gave nothing back to society except the excerpts of laughter his exploits provided his caretakers throughout his days. He will be missed.

Stickers, stickers, stickers!!!!

{image: buzybeepress.com}

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, do I LOVE stickers! When I was a child my Dad would send me a letter and there would always be a couple sheets of cute stickers that fell out of the envelope. So what better way to have people literally Save the Date then by sending them a sticker so they can put it on their calendar? No better way... no better.

Mimi's Favorite Save the Date's

{image: Elizabeth Anne Designs}

In celebration of Thursday (30 Rock & The Office Night) I am sharing my favorite Save the Date idea. If any of you know me personally, you'll probably understand why this particular choice I found at Elizabeth Anne Designs is appealing to me because my Dingo and I met while working at a bookstore. I just found this today, so it is a little late for what I am actually planning to send out but I think the idea is perfect. You could have the image printed on postcard stock or save money in stamps by just emailing the image to your guests.

Photo Booth Save The Dates

{images: my aim is true}

I played with this great idea for a long, long time. I considered doing a photo booth magnet, notecard, bookmark, everything. This is by far my favorite example of a DIY version though. I originally found it on The Offbeat Bride, and followed their link to a cute blog by the bride called my aim is true. I think even the presentation of these Save The Dates are fantastic. This is definitely something fun you would want to get in the mail. Kudos Amber!

Elegant Save The Date Option

Well, we are finally getting down to business with chosing our Save the Date cards. There are so many options that I thought this would be a great way to make sure I post with something new every day. Because our wedding will be quite formal, we thought this would be a good opportunity to do something on our own to express our personality. Our DIY project is well under way and I have to say, I am quite impressed with our creative efforts so far. But, I am ahead of myself. This was the first Save the Date we really liked, from wonderful, excellent, Wedding Paper Divas. I love calendars, so this one, with the bride and groom's wedding date circled, is incredible. It helps that their sample is our exact wedding date too huh?

BSG Season Premeire Tonight!

Whipped Bake Shop in Philadelphia is just amazing! I wish I could have ordered this for the BSG premiere party I am attending this evening. I love it when a bakery can combine the classic look of a traditional wedding cake with a bride or groom's personal interests. Very original.

Mmmmm... good.

Our caterer, Hoaglin Fine Catering was recently featured on Jennifer Driscoll's photography blog. I was thrilled to see one of the shots had some of the miniature cheeseburgers and fries we plan of serving as a midnight snack. Believe me, everything tastes as good as it looks too!

New Year's Resolutions

[Image: Bill Waterson's Calvin and Hobbes]

I think the resolutions we make to the world around us are resolutions we really tend to keep. Get Healthy? Check. More personal time? Check.

Of course we want to do these things, but when we find ourselves drawn to a resolution that can in fact make a real difference in the world, we are more inclined to finish the year off with an actual RED check mark on our New Year's Resolution Lists.

This time, next year, I 'll be pulling out that red Sharpie. Have no doubts about that.

Mimi's 2009 Resolutions

1. Take charge of the "Ripple Effect" by volunteering for
2. Faithfully use me Wii for a healthier Mii.
(i.e. now sighs from the Wii Fit board when I step onto it)
3. Become a semi-professional blogger (M-F postings!)
4. Keep Knocking on Doors!
That's it. No. Wait........
5. Fill up my I-Pod with great stuff
